Chandler Announces New Communications Director, Meghan Groob

WASHINGTON (August 22, 2011)—Today, Congressman Ben Chandler announced Meghan Groob as his new Communications Director. Groob, a native of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky in Kenton County, will handle Chandler’s Washington and Kentucky press operations.

“I had the opportunity to work with Meghan some years ago when she interned for us, and I am glad she made her way back to our office,” Chandler said. “Meghan will be a great addition to our staff, and I look forward to working with her.”

Groob joins Chandler’s office from a non-profit organization where she worked in press and communications.  Groob attended Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, Kentucky and graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in politics. While in college, Groob interned for Congressman Chandler in his Washington office.

“It’s an honor and privilege to work for someone like Congressman Chandler,” said Groob. “I am so excited to join the team here in Washington, and I am eager to get to work serving the people of the Sixth District of Kentucky.”

After working as Chandler’s Communications Director since early 2008, Garrard County native Jennifer Krimm is moving to the Middle East to write a book on the uprisings in the region.
