WASHINGTON (August 3, 2010)—Today at Fire Station #1 in Winchester, Congressman Ben Chandler announced funding for equipment for the Winchester Fire Department. Fire Chief Eric Hunter and other Winchester officials were present at the event.
“Thank you for everything you do for Winchester and Clark County,” Chandler said. “You have done a great job getting this grant, and I hope the new system will help you all in your fight to protect your neighbors.”
The $59,850 made possible through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be used for a Plume Rae System, computer equipment, software, and other equipment at the Winchester Fire Department.
