WASHINGTON (December 19, 2006) Congressman Ben Chandler will be at the Irvine Health and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, December 21st at 9:30 AM. Congressman Chandler will be presenting an American flag flown over the United States Capitol in honor of the Center.
Albert Brandenburg, a WWII veteran who lives at the Center, has been working to get a new flag and flagpole for the residents. Congressman Chandler heard about the noble task of Mr. Brandenburg and the other veterans at the healthcare center and wanted to help them in their efforts.
The flag was flown over the United States Capitol for the veterans living at the Irvine Health and Rehabilitation Center in honor of their valiant service to our country.
