WASHINGTON (April 10, 2006) Congressman Ben Chandler will be in Lincoln County on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 11:45 AM at the Senior Citizens Center. Chandler will be presenting a check for $134,000. The funds will be used by the Senior Citizens Center to purchase two vehicles to help transport seniors in Lincoln County. Additional money will be used for other services associated with the new vehicles. “I am pleased to have secured this money for Lincoln County,” said Congressman Chandler. “I hope these funds will enhance the lives of seniors and make getting around a little easier.” The buses will be used to transport seniors to various recreational activities. They will also be used to help seniors get to medical appointments and other essential events. ####
