WASHINGTON (April 12, 2006)  Congressman Ben Chandler will be at the Lexington Center, Bluegrass Ballroom on Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 6:30 PM to deliver the welcome address to the 25^th annual YMCA Black Achievers Awards Banquet. 

“For over 150 years, YMCA’s have developed initiatives and programs that have helped improve physical, social, emotional and spiritual health for millions of Americans in diverse communities across the country,” said Congressman Chandler.  “The YMCA Black Achievers is an outstanding example of the endless contributions that YMCA’s have on our communities.”

The YMCA of Central Kentucky Black Achievers Program exposes students (7^th-12^th grade) with future educational and career opportunities through program activities, mentoring and community support.
