WASHINGTON (March 10, 2006) Congressman Ben Chandler will be in Richmond on Monday, March 13th at 1:30 PM to tour the Blue Grass Army Depot and meet the new Commander, Colonel Rick Mason. Congressman Chandler has visited the facility before to learn about the chemical weapons program, but this time Chandler will be learning about issues related to the conventional munitions operations at the facility. Chandler is also interested in discussing the Depot’s Master Plan for the next five years and learning about specific Army projects that the Depot is currently working on, as well as future projects. “The Blue Grass Army Depot is an indispensable component of our national security,” said Chandler. “It is important for me to continually educate myself on the inner workings and needs of the employees at the Depot.” ####
